When I grow up★

I could enjoy 2008 because I experienced many things.

I had my dance studio's class exbition on august 24th.
It was very exiting!! I performed 7 classes. I tried many different type of dance.

After class exbition, I went to L.A to study dancing for 4 weeks.
There were many great dancer in L.A.
Their move was so cool!!
I moved them. I wanna be a great dancer, too:)
I went to Santamonica beach, Venice beach and Universal Studio with my Japanese friend.
Studio tour was soooo fun♪ U.S.A is more interesting than U.S.J.
I wanna go to L.A again because it's verry good prace for dancers.


When I came back to Japan, I was invited 2 dance team and I performed dance at dance show case many times, so I was berry busy.
But I can grow up:)

Hi, everyone.
This is the last blog in this year.
How was your life in 2008?
I really enjoyed this year, because of many reasons, but especially that I went to France, Canada and the U.S.
I could go many place and meet a lot of people.
that was wonderful and really nice memory for me.

Anyway next week is.... Christmas!!

I' m gonna work, cause I'm working at restaurant for part-time job.
and after the work, I have a party with my coworker!

子供のために『Desert Bus』をしようよ！

今年世界の経済は悪いからチャリティーのために全世界でお金がありません。それでもカナダのユニークなチャリティーイベントを紹介した。アリゾナ州からネバダ州まで、8時間にリアルタイムで行き来する『Desert Bus』というゲームをします。道から迷ったらリアルタイムもレッカー車でアリゾナ州のスタットポイントから持ってきます。例えば、６時間ぐらいできた、６時間も持って来ながら待たなきゃ。毎時もっと高いお金ゴールを制限したからできたらもっと一時間をしなければなりません。午前２時で終わった時６９，０００ドラー（６．９万円ごろ）を募りました。痛いことから病気子供のためにたくさんいいことをできました。すごいですね。

前撮り（まえどり）

みんな元気ですか？

先週の土曜日、私は成人式の前撮りに行ってきました。

成人式って知っていますか？

これは「おとなになったことを自覚し、みずから生き抜こうとする青年を祝いはげます」

という趣旨（しゅし）の元、それぞれの地方で開かれるものなんだ。

日本では２０歳（ハタチ）になると大人という扱いになって
お酒が飲めたり、たばこが吸えるようになったり、

それと同時にいろんな責任も負うことになります。

アメリカでは２１歳だよね？

というわけで、日本ではハタチになるとお祝いがあります。

それが１月の２週目の月曜日（今年でいうと１月１２日）なの。

「成人の日」という扱いでこれは国民の祝日なんだよ。

でも、この日に写真館（しゃしんかん）なんかで写真を撮ろうと思うと

どこも混雑していて大変なんだ。

だから今は成人の日の前に撮りに行く人が多いんだ。

とういわけで、私も前もって撮りに行ってきました。

私の着ている着物は私のお母さんのもので

３０年も前の着物で古くて少し珍しい（めずらしい）デザインなの。

でも、私は紫（むらさき）が１番スキな色だし、人といっしょはきらいだから

ラッキーだったなって思ってます。

アメリカでは２１歳になると大きなお祝いはあるの？

前にsweet sixteenがあるってのは聞いたことがあるけど。

ニコニコ動画（オタクかな．．．Orz）

Recently, I have been watching a lot of Videos on ニコニコ動画 (www.nicovideo.jp)
I love how when you comment he comments go across the screen-- it really makes you feel like you can communicate with the other people who are watching the video. You can even use the the comment system to create subtitles for videos. Youtube has just implemented this system too, but Youtube's is only for the creator of the video. What do you think about the comment system?

Just like Youtube, on NicoDouga recently many videos have been taken down because of copyright issues (版権の問題）It seems that even Japan is getting strict about it! What do you think?

Also, I have asked other Japanese people this and so I think I know the answer but...

Today, we talked about food in the class, so I gonna tell you about my favorite food.
I like Itarian food becouse pizza and pasta are wonderful.
I love cheese so much, so Itarian food makes me happy:)

Today, we learned about cooking between different culture, so now I will tell you about one of my favorite food OMURAISU!

It is rice with ketchup and onions and sausages, it is covered with egg.

The reason, why I like it because it is easy to make and of course delicious!!

今日、ＴＯＥＦＬをはじめてうけました。

バイト

I've decided to tell you a little about my job. I work at the Brody Front desk as a receptionist. Basically what I do is hand out vacuum cleaners and put mail in people's mailboxes. I also am there as a contact between residents and emergency services. One cool thing about my job is that I am technically a certfied sub-post office worker. (^_^) Most of the time though, i'm not very busy so I get to do my homework, I also make good money working there so I really like my job. Does anyone else here have a part time job? Do you like it? What do you do?

Hello! Today it is Halloween! In America it is a holiday where you get dressed up with your friends and party.

If you are a little kid, you spend your time on Halloween night trick-or-treating. This is where kids will walk around their neighborhood with their parents (or older siblings) and collect candy from their neighbors. I am not really sure how to holiday started but I think it has something to do with a Celtic Harvest holiday... or something.

I have a party to go to tonight, but I have a really bad cold! I don't know what to do!

★My part-time job★

I gonna introduce my part-time job.
I work at Japanese restaurant! This restaurant's main dish are Sashimi(刺身) & Sushi(寿司). They are fresh & good taste:) But a little expensive:(
I go there 2 or 3 times a week after school or weekend.
I'm a cashier, but sometimes help for waitress.

I've been working there for 1 year. I'll go on my part-time job because there are many kind people and good hourly wage.

I ate a Sushi of conger secretly with my job's friend during working recently.
It's bad thing, but the taste was so good!! I wanna try again♪HeHeHe~

最近はハウンテドの家に行った。フンテドの家と言うはモンスタにかくれて、客がおだかすために急なおどりあがる。時々、とてもこわいいですが、よく、あまり、こわいいよ。もう、ハオッリンだから、二つのハウンテドの家に行った。サンダンスと楽しい時間のハウンテドの家に行った。 サンダンスにはとてもこわいい！ハウンテドのへーライドも行った。楽しい時間は三つの家があった。皆、行ったことがある？

I got the idea from Yui to talk about my family. I said my next blog will be about halloween. What I should have said was my next blog in japanese will be about halloween :P

I also have 6 people in my family. My mom and dad, two older brothers, and one younger sister. My parents and my oldest brother, Jeff, all work for a company called Gordon Food Service. I worked there over the summer. My brother Jeff is 8 years older than me, is married to a woman named Emily, and has a 1 year old boy named Dante. Emily is really nice and Dante's a funny little guy and looks just like Jeff. My older brother Kenny is 5 years older than me and is going to community college to become a Radiologist. Right now he interns at a hospital and works at a Used Car Dealership on the weekends. To recap, I'm 20 and going to MSU to become an interpreter. My little sister is 17 and is a junior in high school. Her name is Janelle (ジャネール). I stick out from the rest of my family because I'm always interested in things they think are silly and I don't agree on a lot of things with the rest of my family. In English, the term for that person in the family is "Black Sheep"

私は昔は嫌いだったんだけど今は結構好きです♪

アメリカではカラオケはいくらぐらいするのかなあ？
日本ではこの間、木曜日に１８時から２３時のフリータイムで３人で２６００円だったよ。
しかもここは部屋代だからすごくお得だったの♪笑
曜日によってはすごく高かったりするんだけどね。
アメリカのカラオケとかプリクラとかってすごく高そうなｲﾒｰｼﾞ。
そしてなんだか古そう・・・

最近

最近とても忙しかった。ＭＳＵブレークダンスクラブがいくつも活動したし、韓国語の授業でいくつも宿題があるし、日本語の授業でいくつもポラジェクトがあるし。そして、ＩＳＳでさくぶんがある。ＩＳＳなど様々な人間と習慣が習う授業のことだ。バーンアウトをしないようになるとお願いね。バーンアウトなどつかれすぎるになて、全然できないのことだ。

父が月曜日にしゅじつしつがあった。ひざが悪かったから、医者が直した。それで、今たくさん痛くて、くすりをのまなくちゃいけない。でも、強い父がいるから、ぜひ速くよくになる。

とにかく、日本語の授業でスピーチがあるから、書き終わる。次のブローグがＨａｌｌｏｗｅｅｎを話しよう。

大学祭♪

先週の土曜日、私は名古屋女子大学の学祭で踊りました*＾▽＾*

6人のチームで、みんな同じダンススタジオに通う仲間です♪
練習期間が短くて、前日にやっと完成したー★　でもいくつか間違えて・・・
途中で着替えがあったけど、友達なんてまだ踊る部分あるのに着替えちゃってたし（笑）

でも学祭だったから気楽にできたし、何より楽しめたのが一番！！
このメンバーで名城大学の学祭にも出ます♪
名城の学祭までには間違えないようにちゃんと練習しなきゃー！

本当に楽しいメンバーだし、せっかく創ったネタだから、TOSSっていうイベントにも出ようって言ってます。

My Family

There are 6 people in my family my grand father,my grand mother,my father,my mother,my older brother and me.
My house is Laundry, so my parents are the self-employed business owner.
They are a handful.


My mother is wonderful at knitting. She often make scrub by hand with acrylic wool. It's so cute!
Me & my mother are very close.*＾∇＾* We often go shopping & lunch. I can talk everything to her what's more we are same birthday! Our birthday is Aug 31th.


Recently my mother made Kurikinton（栗きんとん） by hand. Do you know Kurikinton? It's Japanese sweet. It's made by chestnuts.
My grand father has a hill. There are many Chestnuts Tree, so we can get chestnuts a lot.
My mother's Kurikinton was wonderful!!

I really surprised that Indonesian use a chin and head when they point something and beckon someone. It is really interesting for me. Did you know that??

I think body language is handy to communicate.
But it is really different in each countries.
So we have to careful to use it in another countries.

My most favorite thing is HIP-HOP dance♪ Dance is so exiting!

I have been to L.A for four weeks to learn dancing last summer vacation.

はじめまして。ケビン゜リチャードソンと申します。ミシガン州率大学で三年生とイストアジアの言語と習慣が勉強している学生います。僕の一番な趣味がブレークダンスを　するだけでなくても、外国語と友達と遊ぶのことです。また、映画も好きです。僕は日本語と韓国語勉強していて、レベル三を取っています。一年前に韓国語始め勉強しましたが、韓国で始め勉強しますから、速く習いました。まだ、日本に行ったことがありませんが、僕は日本に留学するのことがとても欲しいです。

ひまの時に何回もブレークダンスします。一年前に、僕と友達がMSUブレークダンスクラブを作りました。たいてい、一週間うちに三回練習をします。毎回のように練習で皆さんがよくになるような気がします。一番難しいスポーツはブレークダンスと思われています。それで、ブレークダンスしようとされば、一番楽しくて、健康がいいスポーツです。どうぞよろしくお願いします。

So, I'm sitting here in lecture debating whether or not i should embarrass myself by typing my so called "biography" in Japanese, English (where i would also embarrass myself) or Janglish (Japanese-English for those who didn't know). I have decided to go with the latter: Janglish. Okay so here we go.

僕はミシガン州立大学の二年生で、専門は教育です。十九歳でデトロイトというミシガンの町に生まれました。しゅみはアニメを見たり、音楽を作ったり、寝たり、食べたり、飲んだり、友達と話したりします。家族は五人がいり、母、父、おばあさん、おじいさん、おじさんです。僕はたいていやさしくてうれしい性格があるけど、時々ちょっとへんです。(the good weird not the bad weird)

Clearly I have switched to English, so i might as well continue in it. Basically my life is not all that interesting. I have a couple of friends here and there, I'm usually a nice person (I haven't killed anybody or anything), I'm laid back; the sort of person who walks the other way or relocates themselves when some starts arguing loudly or fighting profusely around them. (seeing as that has anything to do with my biography) Um lets see, I guess you can call me friendly ( I guess having a myspace and a facebook qualifies me as one). Lets see what else? Well as I said before one of my hobbies is making music, so that's basically what I do with most of my free time. If you want to listen to any of my songs just go to my myspace page. In terms of travel, nothing stands out too much except going to Japan. (I've traveled to Ohio, Florida, Canada, North Carolina and well..Japan). Now that we've gotten my travel experience out the way. The one thing I'm certain that I know is certain about myself is that I like to try new things. For instance: riding a mechanical bull. Take a second to gander at the picture above and contemplate on how embarrassing and painful it is to fall off anything mechanical.(......) Okay now that you've done that let me tell you....my thighs hurt for weeks.

In conclusion....well there is really no conclusion because this is merely a rant of compiled things thought up at the last second. So I will leave you with a return to Japanese: さようなら、バイバイ、じゃあ　また　あとでand all that good stuff.

Introduction

Hi. My name is Reva Mercado and I'm a junior at Michigan State Unversity. I'm also a double major. I'm majoring in Political Science/Prelaw and I'm also majoring in East Asian Languages and Cultures. Lets see, hmm, I guess I should include some background information about myself. I come from a multicultural family. My dad was born in Puerto Rico and my mom is African American. I was born in Frankfurt, Germany on a US military base. I lived there for two years (the oldest of my younger brothers was born the year after I was on the same military base) but I don't remember any of it. I've also apparently been to other countries like France, but again I don't remember this because I was a baby. After moving back to the US, my dad left the military for a little while and we moved to Georgia where I lived for another two years. I remember having a friend there that won beauty pagents and drove a Barbie power wheel, but that is all. We moved again to Lansing, Michigan and that is where I still live. My father also resumed military service.  I have a two younger brothers. One of them is named David and the other is named Matthew.  Yeah, that's some basic background information on me. Hmm, my hobbies include hanging out with my friends, going to movies, shopping at the mall, watching tv, reading, writing, and drawing. 

This is one of my drawings. I actually drew this a long time ago, but Its still one of my best ones. I guess you could say I was on a roll that day :) If you are wondering why she is holding a knife its because he grabbed her, spun around, and kissed her when she was cutting cucumbers. Hmm, I also like listening to music and really love my school, even if I don't like going to class. ;) I've also been getting into taking pictures and making videos on youtube lately. I'm don't have a good camera though so the sound quality is off. I can't sing (and I'm not saying that to be modest, I CANT sing) but I like writing song parodies if I can think of a good one. And the video was defintiely fun to make. :)  

Lets see, what else to write? Oh yeah, personality. I'm a really fun-loving, religious, out going person once you get to know me, but I'm also kind of shy and quiet around people I don't know. I also the kind of person who is really willing to go that extra mile for friends or family. (I'm really close to my family) Most of the people I hang out with made the effort to talk to me, or we met in group or class or something because I'm pretty shy at first and usually won't go up to someone I don't know. I'm trying to change that about myself though. Sometimes I get nervous publicily speaking and other times I'm the best public speaker you could hope for because I make eye contact, have a stage voice (or so I've been told), and am energetic. It usually depends on the topic and the language. (For some reason I'm always really nervous in my Japanese class and I'll just stare at my notecards and everyone thinks I'm reading off of them and one time I was, but usually I'm not its just if I look out at the crowd I'll get nervous and lose my voice. ) That being said, I am not a pushover and encourage everyone to speak up for themselves if they are being wronged. Of course you have to pick your battles. Well I don't know what else to write so I guess I'll leave it at this. Feel free to comment on this post! TTYL
